Breaking Down to Build Up

My project continues to move forward albeit rather slowly. I'm figuring it out as I go. I decided that the first step would be to disassemble both of the boxes. Perfectly fine boxes as they are, I might add but not the configuration I need for the results I am after. So out come the tiny Phillips-head screwdrivers. The boxes are now disassembled. I have often found doing these box pieces that often times the process begins with breaking down. So, here I have the building blocks . . . um, building boxes

and all the little pieces of hardware.

Then last but not least, it's time for a little hand surgery. Believe me, it wasn't as painful as it looks. I think the next step is to get my paint brushes out.
