Day & Night, Front & Back, Porch & Deck

d&nf&bp&d_1(This photo is only tangentially related to this post because it’s the front
of a bear & I just thought you’d like to see him finished.)

I guess I could have easily titled this post ‘Opposites’ but then I wouldn’t be able to use an ampersand three times. I think ampersands are cool. A symbolic representation of the short word ‘and’ with a name three times as long!

On the front porch in the daytime, I took this photo of the bears - the fronts of the bears on the front porch.

Here’s another. It was Sunday after all – so I enjoyed playing with the camera & the bears.d&nf&bp&d_3

Then I decided to see how they looked on the back deck. Here are the fronts of the bears on the back deck

& the backs of the bears on the back deck.

Finally, I took these photos at night of our solar powered light string in the front yard.

I think it’s kind of ironic – yet earth friendly, of course – to have solar powered night lights. It takes the day to light up the night!

Now it is night & time to think about getting ready for the next day.  I hope yours is fabulous.  I’m guessing I’ll be sewing & stuffing & sewing.  It’ll be that kind of day.

    1. Hi Kays Kids,

Yes, if I don't get distracted, I should be able to accomplish a little bit of something.

Glad you like the lights! I do too!

  3. Hi Ginger,

Now that Prudence is at camp I get to use the "puter". Life is good.

I love these photos, it reminds me of a childhood story book. (Love the solar lights.)

Have a wonderful week, sew but also stop long enough to enjoy your surroundings.

    Hugs,
    Prudence's Mom

    1. Hi Prudence's Mom,

I'm glad you will get your turn at the computer. Maybe Prudence left some links to YouTube that will have you laughing in her absence.

I hadn't thought much about it but those photos do have a bit of a storybook look to them.

      Thanks for reading!

    1. Hi Cheryl,

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I can find some ways to linger at night - avoiding work, playing!

I think it'd be cool to have more of those lights - maybe on the deck but alas, that dream may have a little bit longer germination!

Thanks for reading! Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Hi Katy,

Good point! I'll have to remember that one as well.

  6. I do enjoy your posts, Ginger! How did you get that effect with the bear pics? Very clever, anyway.

    1. Hi Kayzy,

I am so glad you enjoy them. Yea! As for the effect, it is a setting on my camera. You can also get something similar with photo software on the computer but this is easier - no decisions to make. I just like playing around with it.

      Have a happy day!
