Rain.

The weather forecasters have been saying that we would get some rain.  Many days it looked like it would but not so much on our little patch of ground.  We had cloudy skies and a maybe a sprinkle or two. You might even venture to call it rain.  Then – last night – in the middle of the night, a thunderstorm arrived.  Loud claps of thunder rattled us from our dreams. Flashes of lightning lit up the sky. And the rain.

The rain poured down.

In spite of all that terrific rattling, wind blowing and torrents of rain, nature surprised us this morning with a show of resiliency and art.

  1. Hi Ginger, I want to tell you about a beautiful picture in nature that was given to me. I was in bed for years with a very bad spine. One winter morning, when the curtain were pulled back there in the prunis tree out side my window was this spider web that must have had dew on it, then it froze and it looked all the word like diamonds in that web. I will never forget it. Magic.

    1. Hi Kays Kids,

That does sound like it was a beautiful sight. Wow - It must have been something very special when it froze. I hadn't thought of a web freezing before - thank you for sharing.

    1. Hi Jack and The Clan,

I know. I know. You've had your share and much of ours. It's a sad thing really when so much of the USA really needs some rain. If you would be so kind, just pack up a couple of shiploads of it and send it to the midwest! Very good.

      Thanks heaps!

  3. Dew/raindrops on a spider's web are really something - it's as if we're suddenly seeing a world we hadn't known existed. Beautiful photo. Hugs, Kayzy
