The following photos show the current state of mayhem chaos creativity in progress on two surfaces. Yes, under all that, there is a surface – normally called a table or a desk. In my dreams, I am a neat and orderly sort of person. In reality, it seems to work out better if all the things I need are right at hand. Or at least under something close by.
When I get to a certain finishing point, I will look at these tables full of materials and say, “Now, it’s time. You have dutifully served your purpose. You must now return to your homes for a while. It was fun while it lasted. I will see you in a little bit.” And I snap my fingers and everything marches back to its place on the shelf. Oh, I’m sorry. I was dreaming I was Mary Poppins for a minute there.
Thanks so much for stopping by. It helps to know if these things should fall on top of me that someone is there to dig me out – or at least put a sign up that says “Please go around.”
Oh, it looks miraculous! Creativity needs this order!
ReplyDeleteAm curious of the result.
Are claws in the last picture for bear's paws?
Hi Conni,
DeleteHa ha - that's a good description - miraculous. It could be that it's a miracle I ever get anything accomplished!
They do look a lot like claws - not exactly what I was aiming for but I've never seen what I was aiming for so there you go!
:D

Hi Mouse,
DeleteI love that! Archeological layers - a fitting description of the "treasures" on my work surfaces!
I'm glad someone is looking out for you!

I can't begin to tell you how loud I laughed at your post.
ReplyDeleteYour final picture is pretty "crazy" even though I don't know what it is ... eyebrows perhaps?
Hi Bonnie,
DeleteI'm glad it made you laugh. That's about the only thing I can do as well.
Eyebrows - now there's a thought.

Is that your ironing board I see at the top?
ReplyDeleteMama Bear
Hi Love Bears All Things,
DeleteI guess the answer is a sort of yes. It's a uniquely designed one made just for the spot on top of some low shelves. I drew the pattern and my husband made it for me. It's exactly right and gave us more floor space. Also, it's very sturdy. Can you love an ironing board?
:D

We were definitely thinking that first one was our sort of table until we re-read the lables and realised that what we thought was 'candies' was just boring old 'candles', so we went off the idea...
ReplyDeleteAs for the worksurfaces over here, they always seem to have towering piles of 'stuff' threatening to collapse on top of us at any minute, it's a death trap we tell ya!
Hugs
Jack and The Clan
Hi Jack and The Clan,
DeleteOh, I should have been more thoughtful and added some candies just for you! But some of the things on there you'd have to make sure were real and not fake first!
Oh, towering piles - that sounds like a climbing adventure for you guys!
Don't tell LT I gave you any ideas though!
:D

Ooooh, I can't wait to see what it is!
ReplyDeleteHi Heather,
DeleteI sure hope to finish it soon. The stuff is driving me a bit loopy - but if I can ignore it for a while, I sure am having loads of fun. Maybe too much fun - - -

LOL Glad I'm not the only one who's WIP spaces look like that! Interesting...ah...specimens in that last picture... ;) They look like teeth or claws or something to me!
ReplyDeleteHi Kay Joy,
DeleteYeah, it can be kind of intimidating don't ya know - seeing all those bits, pieces and general parts and portions. I guess I could also use it as a security system. Who in their right mind would dare to traipse among these dangerous areas?
I agree - they do look like teeth or claws. Now the question is, which one?
:D

That looks like my desk, you can't create a master piece without a little chaos :0) xx
ReplyDeleteHi Elanor,
DeleteOr so I have heard....or so I keep believing....I do hope it will be interesting even if it's not a masterpiece.

Out of chaos comes creation - I'm counting on it, because that's the way my life is! I love your chaos, and know it will turn into a wonderful creation.
