Counting Pennies

All day long Sebastian has been counting and recounting his 97¢. Then a penny went missing and everything has been topsy turvy since. I told him that if he could find that penny perhaps we could go to the dealership tomorrow and see if he could work out an agreement. He hasn’t actually seen the car yet, but I have told him all about it and he is convinced that it would be perfect.

I do hope we can work something out soon because I haven’t been able to concentrate on studio work with him blathering on about getting a car. I told him his friends were counting on him, even going so far as to offer him a few cents to seal the deal if necessary. Wish us both luck – him for getting the car he wants at a fair price and me on surviving the experience!

  2. Blathering? Oh Miss Ginger! Blathering?

Sebastian, if you need help with the payment let me know, I have my own checking account and would be overjoyed to write you a check. (There you go Miss Ginger, I have my own checking account, giggle.) Blathering?

    1. Hi Prudence,

Sebastian and I thank you for your generous offer of help. You are sweet. As I told Kay above, Sebastian found his penny so we should be fine. I hope if he gets his car you can come for a ride!

It is exciting to be sure! He's been excited for quite a while - sleeping in the middle of the day and chattering away into the wee hours of the morning!

  4. Sebastian - do you have a metal detector? That would be great for searching in couch cushions! Keep looking, you'll find it!

Hang in there, Ginger. Tomorrow's less than 24 hours away! ;)

    1. Hi K. Joy,

What a great idea to use a metal detector! He did find the penny so we're good to go now.

I think trying to find a car for Sebastian has been more of an adventure than finding one for myself!

      Thank you K. Joy!

  5. Oh I'm glad to read in the comments that you found your penny, Sebastian... Dot would like to know if you'd like to race when you get your car? He says he won't cheat and use Noz, or anything.

... Of course, I'm not sure little bears should be racing... so maybe you and Dot could just sit down and watch The Fast and the Furious together instead? ... you wouldn't want to wreck your brand new car!

    1. Hi Heather,

There was great celebration when Sebastian found his penny. I'm going to leave the racing thing up to Sebastian with advice that he make sure he can stay between the lines before he undertakes anything remotely risky. Perhaps watching the movie would be a very good alternative. He might be one of those who just sits in the car in the driveway too cautious to take it out on the road! :D
