Watching the Tide Roll In

There are some things we will need to tend to over the next few days so my studio work will be a bit longer delayed. Even so we have taken a little time to celebrate our anniversary at one of our favorite places. While it’s not entirely possible to leave the world behind, we certainly made an effort to take a short break. Here’s how we celebrated.

Our view in the early morning.

This is where we ate breakfast most mornings – the inn’s front porch swing.

From our ‘camp’ on the beach at about oh, let’s say, 9:30am . . . and 10:30 . . . and 11:30 . . .

and sometime after that.

We always like to play a game or two of baseball – a tribute to our younger (much much younger) days.

I actually won this time!

We also have to play a game of Skee-ball for old time sake. I lost – but not by much.

Then we put a quarter in the machine to get our fortune told. This lady had a rather disconcerting look.

and getting some sun.

Jay took this picture of me with his phone and I decided to include it because to me this IS the beach I love – tranquil.

and from the inn’s second floor walkway.

Now back to life.

PS Thank you all for your kind comments on my last post. We both appreciate them very much.

  2. Hi Miss Ginger,

Mom says she loved to play Skee-Ball on the boardwalk at Point Pleasant Beach (NJ). She says she misses the Jersey shore but would be sad to see it right now, since Hurricane Sandy.

Sebastian, where is your sun hat? Don't forget, you need to protect your eyes from the sun!

    Happy Anniversary, Miss Ginger.

    Heaps of Hugs

    1. Hi Prudence,

I bet your mom would beat the socks off of me in skee-ball! But it sure is fun....assuming you have the coins.

      Sebastian says hi!

      Hugs,
