Amusing Monday

I am getting to a place where I love Smartphone photos. They are truly “in the moment”. Some can be touching, funny, stupid, informative and everything in between. I was going through mine just to see what was there because, you know, I don’t have a thing to do these days. I thought I would share some of the most recent and hope you get a smile or a lift for your Monday. While you are looking, I’ll just go back to what I was doing before I got distracted. And that would be some sort of sewing project. Probably bears – that’s what I’m guessing.

First up, a view of what was in my back yard the other day. It’s a handy dandy little vehicle if you want to dig up your back yard. I’m glad the guys operating this thing know what they are doing. If it was me, I would certainly have holes in the house rather than in the yard.

Next, a view of what is in my front driveway. You have to be very special to get one of these babies. It’s trending at the moment. I can’t tell you how many people drive by the house and look with envy. It is blue too – my favorite color!

Now that it is March I took this photo with what one might call anticipation and hope. A tree with spring buds making an appearance. Don’t be fooled into thinking that we’re all about T-shirts and flip flops now. No. This indication of warmer temperatures is bogus. By the end of this week, we are going to be looking at rain and winter making a huge comeback. Spring is such a tease.

While I was on a walk with Jay and Topher, we saw this bluebird taking advantage of the only warm day we will get this week apparently. It is as close as I have gotten in person to a bluebird and just before he flew off I swear I saw him wink and chuckle a little. Silly bird.

Finally, there’s this one. Until I saw this, it never occurred to me that I was an “omen”. Alas, if it’s true and I am an “omen”, it would explain why people run the other direction when they see me coming.

Have a Happy Monday!

    1. Hi Kay,

Yes, perhaps you are an omen too? Not much going on in the front except the blue loo! I like that combo though. Sounds like a great name for someone in that line of business! The Blue Loo - just for you!

  2. Hi Miss Ginger,

Ah...construction. We are at the 8 week mark with our new backyard. Well, it's complicated, they had to build a 4' wall using boulders. The guys are real nice, funny and more like family after 8 weeks.

Mom was so funny - mention of the "port-a-potty" took her over the edge. She did "the look" to Mr. Dave (owner of the nursery) and guess what? NO potty. The nursery is only 2 miles away so the guys are back and forth many times......potty time then. They still laugh about the "ordeal". Giggle.

Can't wait to see the completed construction project.

    Hugs,
    Prudence ♥

    P.S.
I sure hope we have Bluebirds up here, we have only seen a few when we lived in FL.

    1. Hi Prudence,

Good luck to you and yours with your construction. As noted above we have the Blue Loo that is a necessity if you are on site all day with muddy boots.

I hope you see some bluebirds. For some reason I think of them being more visible in the mountains but maybe that's just a crazy idea I got from somewhere.

    1. Hi Jock, Zeke and all the other jealous bears,

Sebastian did get to drive the digger but unfortunately there are no photos. I was too busy running in the other direction when he couldn't figure out which lever did what.

I'm glad you guys are all on the same page on the species. There might be an omen coming your way so watch out!

      hugs,
      ~ginger & Sebastian

    1. Hi Sharon,

Never a dull moment around here - most of the time. I'm glad you enjoyed our adventure. I'd love to do it again sometime! As for the backyard, a new screened porch and patio to replace our old dilapidated deck. I hope we get some nice weather to enjoy it soon!
