Bloom Where You are Planted

Last summer we were fortunate to be able to travel to Vancouver and Victoria in British Columbia. There we saw the most extraordinary flowers and they were everywhere too. I thought it would be wonderful to have all those beautiful flowers growing in our own yard. Alas, my status as a hit-or-miss gardener has not changed so we probably won’t see that happen any time in the near future. What flowers we do have we chose and planted ourselves and amazingly enough they bloom each Spring. Here’s a few of them.

and just in time for Easter, the Dogwood.

To those of you who celebrate, I wish you a very, very
Happy Easter!

  1. Dear Ginger, Your flowers are so beautiful. Lovely azaleas and that dog wood is breath taking. I think we must get it too hot in Summer because you never see Dogwood here.

    1. Hi Kay,

Isn't that a most amazing thing? How some places can grow some things and others can't? Same with animals and birds. It's what makes going places so interesting. Something that is everyday to one person is unique and exciting to a visitor. I'm happy to share my dogwood photo with you!

      hugs,

  4. Happy Easter Ginger. The last few posts have been an interesting canter through your creative brain. Fascinating. Your approach to gardening is a bit like mine, but it seem sot work.
Where's the bear? We miss him.
